At Queen's Park - day 59

I am embarrassed to be here. I am embarrassed to have to do this.

  1. You should not be embarrassed. You should be proud to be such a caring and passionate advocate for Sebastian. The only ones who should be embarassed are the government and the bureuacrats in charge of the autism mess in Ontario.

  2. Please do not feel embarrassed Maryna! I am so proud of you for what you are doing and accomplishing every day you step foot on the grounds of QP. Do not feel ashamed for exposing the dark truths of our governments' negligent policies.

Remember the words of Martin Luther King when he said:

"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it."

    and

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

Stand proud Maryna! You are measuring up to be quite the ultimate woman - your cause is greatly important! Please don't forget it!!! Try to hold on..... to your hope.

  3. I think you need a visit and some cookies. I will be there tomorrow when Khaled is in the clinic - not for too long becuase I have to go pick him up, but long enough to deliver some cookies.

  4. I admire you and everything you are doing for your beloved son. You are a strong, loving committed and passionate mother. Don't lose faith and hope. It is true that there is much injustice in our society and it may feel like an uphill battle but don't give up the fight. Our children deserve so much better and our politicians need to be held accountable. The last thing you should feel is embarrassed. Keep your chin up! (((Hugs)))

  6. Maryna, I got ready in the morning, even put in my contact lenses becuase it was such a nice day, packed my cookies, drove khaled to the clinic and he banged the door on his fingers and they got stuck in the car. Then his 240 dollar prepaid session had to be cancelled, I drove him to the doctor and there was nothing wrong with him. But it was too late to drive him back, or come to Toronto. The universe conspires against my good intentions some times. I will make another plan for another day.
